Cyrenians were invited to the Co-op at Eastern Green to celebrate £1,318 being raised. This amount will go towards our project to turn a disused basement at one of our supported accommodations into a workshop for young people to improve their futures.

We are seeking to overhaul and redecorate this basement to provide workshop classes to young people. This would become a training facility which would teach essential life skills to empower the disadvantaged, young and vulnerable to live independently. This is a service which would maximize the potential chances of young people to leave behind difficult circumstances and grasp a new direction in life, providing an environment which will create opportunities to move forward.

Co-op members buying Co-op branded goods were all contributing to the cause, so a big thank you to all these members and anyone else who spread the word about the scheme. See the short video below for an overview from our Fundraising & Partnerships Manager, Jack Swinburn.
