In December 2013 we learned that a consortium of existing providers, which included Cyrenians, had been unsuccessful in a competitive tendering process for a Local Authority contract incorporating all of the adult homelessness services in Coventry.  The successful bidder was the Salvation Army and the new contract commenced on 1st April 2014.

Cyrenians continue to operate an enhanced and successful residential contract for young people aged between 16 and 24 who have been placed in a variety of shared and self-contained accommodation.  Contracted services to adults, however, in the form of residential, floating support and rough sleepers, have been discontinued.  We have retained the properties previously allocated to these contracts and increased the availability of move on accommodation to those individuals who require less intensive support in preparation for independent living.

We remain committed to pursuing new sources of funding in order to develop much needed initiatives to support the homeless and vulnerable of Coventry and Warwickshire as we have done successfully for over 40 years.
