Fundraising Manager
As a completely new role, the Fundraising Manager should be highly motivated and tenacious and will use their experience and innovative approach to increase the income of the organisation through community, trust and corporate giving.
The role will also involve:
- building upon the excellent reputation of the organisation through a range of public events
- overseeing the general PR related activities of the organisation
- developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- working with colleagues to develop innovative fundraising projects
- co-ordinating all fundraising activities within the organisation assisting colleagues with small one-off applications as necessary
Key attributes of the Fundraising Manager will include:
- previous experience of fundraising and/or a knowledge of marketing techniques
- a successful track record in income generation
- an ability to influence lead and motivate others
- excellent communication and presentational skills an empathy with the social values and aims of the organisation
- Hours: 35 per week
- Salary Scale: £29,782.00 - £33,091.00 per annum

Fundraising Manager Job Description
Volunteer Co-ordinator
Coventry Cyrenians are looking for an experienced Volunteer Co-ordinator to develop, implement and maintain a range of volunteering opportunities for both members of the public and clients. To oversee all general management and administrative requirements of the volunteer programme including recruitment, induction and training needs.
Main Duties:
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining and developing the recruitment of volunteers to support the objectives of the organisation
- Develop and maintain working partnerships with voluntary organisations, voluntary recruitment centres, websites and charities to promote Coventry Cyrenians volunteer opportunities and recruit new volunteers.
- Develop volunteer training programmes, and facilitate those programmes where appropriate.
- Liaising closely with appropriate colleagues explore fundraising opportunities in order to sustain and develop an adequate volunteering programme within the organisation.
- Explore and assist in the development of opportunities for volunteering by clients in both our own organisation and in other environments
- Ensure that opportunities for clients to become engaged in local and national volunteering programmes are fully utilised and effectively communicated to both staff and people using our services.
- 17.5 hours per week (days to be agreed)
- Salary £10,376.00 per annum

General Information
The Cyrenians is a voluntary organisation that aims is to meet the needs of people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or affected by homelessness in any way. We listen to their difficulties, understand their needs, share their burden, provide support and ultimately find permanent solutions for their problems. Each year we provide services to around 2000 people in Coventry and surrounding areas
Our services focus on:
- Prevention of homelessness – through advice and information
- Alleviation of homelessness – at our day centre and placements in our short-term accommodation.
- Rehabilitation – tackling underlying issues such as alcohol, drugs, mental health and abuse.
- Resettlement – practical help to gain employment, to learn the skills needed to live in the community and to sustain a tenancy.
