At Coventry Cyrenians we care about providing services for homeless and vulnerably housed people.

It is an exciting time to join the organisation. We have recently appointed a new CEO; a new organisational structure and strategy has been approved, and we are beginning a journey of modernisation. We need to recruit excellent individuals who are as passionate about supporting homeless people as we are. 

We have strong and supportive team structures and are looking to maintain that by recruiting early for our maternity cover needs.  This will allow for effective handovers and time for you to embed into our teams.

 

We currently have four vacancies:

 

Key responsibilities:

a)      Carry an agreed caseload of service users, building strong supportive relationships.

b)     Interview potential residents and carry out appropriate needs and risk assessments.

c)      Develop and implement individual Support Plans and carry out regular reviews.

d)     Ensure residents are informed and, where necessary, assisted to access appropriate welfare benefits, health, welfare and            other support services, participating in a multi-agency approach as necessary.

e)     Maintain a high standard of record keeping and ensure that appropriate administrative procedures are adhered to.

 

Key criteria:

Experience of working in homeless services is desirable but not as important as experience of working in supportive roles with people enabling them to improve their skills with planning, community integration and managing their money. Some of our service users can get frustrated with their circumstances yet the vast majority are just seeking opportunities to improve their life chances.  Listening skills with robust interpersonal skills are the key attributes in our teams, to succeed in supporting our clients. You will also need to be a car driver with access to a vehicle.

 

**PERMANENT ROLE**

Role 1: Housing Support Worker

Location: Coventry  

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexi-time

Salary: £21,165

 

**FIXED-TERM CONTRACT**

Role 4: Housing Support Worker

Location: Stratford

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexi-time

Salary: £21,165

Duration: 6 months

 

**FIXED-TERM CONTRACT**

Role 2: Housing Support Worker

Location: Stratford primarily with travel to Warwick

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexi-time

Salary: £21,165

Duration: 1 year (maternity cover)

 

**FIXED-TERM CONTRACT**

Role 3: Housing Support Worker

Location: Coventry with some travel

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexi-time

Salary: £21,165
